The Holiday rush will be upon us before we know it. I end up making tons of gifts for friends, families, and co-workers. Last year, I made items for close to 30 people. This year, that number has ballooned to over 160 people that I have to try to create something for.
Given this, I have been trying to get a jump start and have been cleaning up, organizing, and inventorying my supplies. I done about lost my mind at some point, is the only conclusion I could come up with. So what exactly was my ‘what was I thinking’ moment? While inventorying everything, I kept coming across blocks and even buckets of shea butter. In total more than 150 pounds of it. It will take me years to use all of this.
I know it had to come about because I order a block here and a block there just to be sure that I do not run out; not realizing that I had not used up the last ‘just in case’ blocks. To add insult to injury; 2 days before this sudden realization, I had ordered another 25 pounds to ensure I had enough for holiday projects.
I see a lot of shea body butter in people’s futures this year; that might use up 10 pounds or so. Lol
I am also thinking I must be crazy as I have over 150 one ounce fragrance samples that I have not used up. This count doesn’t include the 40 I picked up recently at Rustic Escentials’ sale. All I know is that I have to use this stuff up, it is taking over every drop of space I have. My solution order even more stuff. In this case, a couple cases of candle wax – I can use the fragrances up fairly quickly that way.
The insanity that is the life of a crafter.
